Equal parts composer, jazz musician, found-sound remixer and club music producer, he tours his multi-faceted live show in both solo and band setups internationally. He has released over a dozen albums and hundreds of collaborations and remixes creating with musicians, artists and DJs from all around the world. His critically acclaimed club night CHURCH has seen him on stage with multiple generations of the world’s most respected jazz, soul and hip hop artists, and his recent projects see him doing a deep dive into his Japanese heritage, interpreting it through the lens of jazz and electronica.
Heritage is the new two-album series from pianist, composer and live remixer Mark de Clive-Lowe. For the Japanese-New Zealander, this two-album project is by far his most personal work yet – deep diving into his Japanese ancestry and cultural roots through the lens of jazz, electronica and beats in collaboration with his LA band of world-class talent – Josh Johnson (Leon Bridges/Esperanza Spalding), Teodross Avery (Talib Kweli/Mos Def), Brandon Eugene Owens (Terrace Martin/Robert Glasper), Brandon Combs (Moses Sumney/Iman Omari), Tylana Enomoto – (Bonobo/Kamasi Washington) and Carlos Niño (Build An Ark/Lifeforce Trio).
