And few bands live at the heart of it like An Dannsa Dub. Born from a love of traditional Scottish folk, dub reggae and dance music, together they summon the joyous, communal energy of a cèilidh and a sound system session. Their name comes from the Gaelic for “The Dub Dance”. Their sound celebrates the ancient Gaelic and West African rhythms that influenced reggae, which in turn, via sound system culture and dub’s pioneering remixes, produced modern dance music. Their live shows and recordings are a seamless, pulsating fusion of all this and more. Send it Bristol! This one's gonna be huge 💥

MCS Binbags and Dur Brain are joined on stage by DMC finalist, DJ Mr Fitz. With a decade of touring behind them, this is a return to the roots of what make Binbag Wisdom great: Two best friends, sharing their infectious humour through deft lyricism on hard hitting beats. After a brief hiatus to work on solo projects and collaborations with Dr. Syntax and K.O.G, and their 4th studio release on the way soon, the boys are very much ‘back in town’ as it were. It’s with great pleasure that we welcome @jinjem It’s with great pleasure that we welcome @jinjemusic project ‘A Brief Utopia’ to the @diplomatsofsound family. A Brief Utopia was born from an EP released earlier this year by Jinjé (aka, Lee J Malcolm from Vessels) on Scene Unseen. Stepping away from his usual production duties and focusing more on his passion for live drumming and percussion instruments. This was the starting block for much of the composition on the this record. He quickly realised that this would be a brilliant thing to do live and reached out to fellow musicians Danny Templeman (Submotion Orchestra, Gentleman’s DubClub) and Nathan Moseley (Fwar, Brolin) to put together a high energy show aimed at clubs and festivals alike. A Brief Utopia brings a colourful, vibrant and visually engaging experience. Drawing on a love of music from around the world focused through a lens of live drumming, tuned percussion and psychedelic synth work. Lush! Welcome guys! Let’s get cracking!
🔥 Attention all lovers of exquisite sounds - Pl 🔥 Attention all lovers of exquisite sounds - Please welcome the really very incredible @mattersunknown to the @diplomatsofsound family 🔥 MATTERS UNKNOWN is the debut project from Jonathan Enser, multi-instrumentalist and composer and the brass contributor to Nubiyan Twist. He has put together an ensemble that features some of the most powerful forces exploring music in the UK. Each member has different languages for conversing with his compositions, drawing musicians from Nerija, Emma Jean Thackray, Nala Sinephro, Noya Rao and beyond. In kaleidoscopic visions, forces collide, expand and contract, the music finds a balanced path through. The writing is steeped in deeply spiritual, organic soulful roots, with undercurrents carrying grooves from the Blues to West Coast Beats all evoked through African diasporic influence. On some tracks only tied together with Enser’s innovative production stylings. It's a rare thing to hear such diverse sounds and influences creating such compelling synergy. Manifesto: Project and propel the tradition, here lies the intersection between heritage and experience. Free the mind to find divine inspiration.
