EZRA COLLECTIVE
An afrobeat, reggae and hip-hop tinged collaboration between five inspired young jazz musicians that began in earnest in May 2012 when they entered and won the Yamaha Jazz Experience Competition. They have since supported the legendary Terence Blanchard at the London Jazz Festival, played the Royal Albert Hall, performed as hip-hop grandee Pharoahe Monch’s backing band on tour and recorded a live session for global tastemakers Boiler Room.

Celebrated for their dynamic approach to hip-hop, the 4 member group debuted at number 13 on the iTunes Hip-hop chart as well as charting internationally across Europe. They performed shows throughout the year and shared the stage with Speech Debelle, Ghostface Killah & EPMD and also performed at London’s Notting Hill Carnival.
