SHOGUN

At just 19 years of age yet leading the vaguard of Scotland’s burgeoning grime scene, Shogun has quickly raked in over 1 million views for his fiery “Vulcan” track alone on Youtube, been named among The FADER’s “11 MCs From Across The U.K. That Every Grime Fan Should Know” and he’s being bigged up by such cultural signposts as Dazed & Confused. With major supports and a whole lot more material in the pipeline, Shogun is an artist with burning momentum.

EZRA COLLECTIVE 

An afrobeat, reggae and hip-hop tinged collaboration between five inspired young jazz musicians that began in earnest in May 2012 when they entered and won the Yamaha Jazz Experience Competition. They have since supported the legendary Terence Blanchard at the London Jazz Festival, played the Royal Albert Hall, performed as hip-hop grandee Pharoahe Monch’s backing band on tour and recorded a live session for global tastemakers Boiler Room.

JUNGLE BROWN

Celebrated for their dynamic approach to hip-hop, the 4 member group debuted at number 13 on the iTunes Hip-hop chart as well as charting internationally across Europe. They performed shows throughout the year and shared the stage with Speech Debelle, Ghostface Killah & EPMD and also performed at London’s Notting Hill Carnival. Jungle Brown have also garnered praise for their energetic live performance, Ric Waters, Maear & Mosik, all solo artists before forming the group alongside long-time producer Tony Bones have a depth that can’t easily be imitated.

TERRI WALKER

In 2003, Terri Walker took her native London with authority. Untitled, her Def Soul debut, featured 14 slices of hot-buttered neo-soul that relaxed comfortably between tradition and the latest thing; it was an immediate hit, and Walker soon found herself vying against Beyoncé Knowles for Best Album honours at that year’s Music of Black Origin (MOBO) awards. Terri is now working on her long-anticipated return with new material due in 2017.

 

SHUNYA

Alan Keary – a.k.a. Shunya – is a multi instrumentalist and producer with a strong musical heritage, writing and producing music from the age of fourteen. Regarded by many as being one of the finest turntablists in the world he became Asia’s first record-breaking world champion at the DMC World Final in 2002. Since signing with London based indie heavyweight Ninja Tune Records Kentaro has worked with the likes of Foreign Beggars, DJ Krush, Kid Koala, D-Styles and Matrix & Futurebound among many others.
