Oddisee is without doubt one of the most enthralling independent hip-hop artists of the past 10 years. Signed to the legendary Mello Music Group since 2008, we decided it was high time that we brought the talented MC to the UK.

The son of Sudanese and American parents, Amir Mohamed was born and raised in the United States capital city of Washington DC, spending hot summers in Khartoum learning Arabic and swimming in the Nile. Growing up amidst the sounds of New York hip-hop, his father playing Oud, Go-Go and gospel; Oddisee took his first steps as an MC and producer in the analog basement studio of his legendary neighbour, Garry Shider (Parliament Funkadelic).

With countless impressive projects under his belt – from the 2012 ‘Odd Renditions EP’ to his latest album ‘The Iceberg’ – as well as performing with the Roots, producing for Jazzy Jeff, Little Brother, and De La Soul, Oddisee has become a world renowned musician.

He returns to the UK with a show that promises to take things back to the roots of rap: a microphone and two turntables. It promises to shine a light on Oddisee at his raw, visceral best.
